SAVE THE DATE- HMS COLOR WAR
The HMS Color War returns to campus on Friday, September 18, during the last hour of the school day! This high-energy, fun battle involves students tossing colorful powder, enjoying music and games, and turning their friends and (some) teachers into colorful works of art!
Color packets, concession tickets, and the official HMS 2026 Color War T-shirt are available to order online.
The deadline to order the official Color War T-shirt and guarantee your student’s size is Friday, September 4, at 11:59 p.m.

Want to get involved but not sure where to start? The HMS PTSA has volunteer opportunities for every schedule and interest. Some volunteer committees work throughout the school year, while others focus on a single event.
No special experience is required, and completing the interest form does not commit you to a role. A committee chair will contact you with more information.

All volunteers must complete the GCISD Background Check annually. Click here to submit your background check. Don’t forget to have moms, dads, grandparents, and siblings over 18 complete the application!
Bronco Round Up- For Returning 7th and 8th graders
📅 August 6
⏰ 5:30–6:30 p.m.
Students may walk their schedules when accompanied by a parent or guardian. Families may also visit Back to School Stations to:
- Turn in bulk school supplies
- Submit athletic forms and immunization records
- Pick up preordered PE and athletic uniforms
- Join HMS PTSA
- Shop for Bronco spirit wear
Schedules will be available in Skyward. Hard copies may also be picked up at school.
Bronco Camp- For 6th graders and students who are new to Heritage Middle School
📅 August 7
⏰ 9:00–11:30 a.m.
Schedule:
- 9:00 a.m. — New student orientation and school tour
- 10:15 - 11:00 a.m. — Parent meeting in the gym
- 11:00 -11:30 a.m. — Back to School Stations open
- 11:00 -11:30 a.m. — Students and parents may walk the student’s schedule
- 11:30 a.m. — Activities conclude so teacher professional development can resume
Schedules are available in Skyward, or students may pick up a printed copy at school.
Bins will be available in the gym for these bulk school supplies:
- Index cards
- Glue sticks
- Kleenex
- Dry-erase markers
- Ream of copy paper
- Notebook paper
